Merry Christmas 2012

We have had a busy day today. Went out for brunch at One World Hotel and to Pavillion KL at night to enjoy the Christmas decoration put up by the mall. We had a great time and took pictures for remembrance. My boy is a bit reluctant to take pictures but I guessed its part of growing up. Teenagers smile less and less in picture nowadays.
Pictures were taken at 3 locations, One Utama, Pavillion & Starhill :) Merry Christmas everyone! Oh..... its just touched midnite and Happy Boxing Day :)

Bracelets for children

Honestly, I must thanked my co-workers for their support. They have purchased so many accessories from me and I am thankful to them for liking my work. As Christmas is around the corner, my colleague has asked me to make something for her daughters. So I made these.

Cute Little Angel Earrings for Christmas

Well, I have been very busy beading lately and I enjoyed every moment of it. Tada! this is what I made yesterday nite. I can't help myself for not doing anything with this beautiful acrylic flowers' petals
I paired the petals with small angel wings and Jablonex®, Czech Fire Polished Glass

I found some old pictures...........(Good food in Sydney)

I must really blog about this............... There is this little gem tuck away in a suburb called Beverly Hills in NSW. My sister mom-in-law leaves there and so for convenient sake we used to frequent this restaurant whenever we went and visit her. Till today I do not know the restaurant name. We were lucky if we were to get a car park behind the restaurant if not then we will park at some narrow lane and walked there. There was a time when we walked all the way from my sis mom-in-law house to the restaurant. As we always enter from the back and left from the front we were not bother about the name of the restaurant. I have been there many many times and the dishes are so good that we kept on wanting to go back. We have to go there everytime we go to Sydney. The dishes that we must have most of the time are Honey Chicken, Dancing prawns and Salmon roe fried rice. The other dishes that are very nice are Peking Duck, Cheese Lobster and many many more which I could not recall. Lastly, for desserts and complimentary on the house is Fortune Cookies and a coconut and green jelly which is very cooling and refreshing. Here are the pictures that I managed to captured during our last trip there 2 years back. Leave me a message if you want to go to the restaurant I will try to get the name and contact no. for you :)
Dancing prawns (words cannot describe the deliciousness of this prawns, the sizes were a bit small but the sweetness of the prawns were superb :0)

I won, I won, I won a Camera - Canon Powershot G12

It was a month ago when I was busy attending to the contractor who was renovating my new house when I received a call from a marketing firm to say that I have won a camera. The lady on the line told me that I have won a Canon camera for the contest that I have entered for Johnson & Johnson Riang Hari Raya. Wow, I could not believe my luck, I have not won any contest before not since the 90s' when I entered the Cinemax contest and won lots of stationery items. So, I said OK coz I need to wait for the letter to redeem the prize. That evening I told my son and he was as ecstatic as me coz he was the one who urged me to enter the contest. We were both happy and sang in the car :) I thought that I have won a handy small camera which I can easily slide into my bag or pocket. Then the letter came and it said that I have won 4th prize and its a Canon G12, Hmmm...... I wonder what type of camera was that and googled up. Wow, its a very nice big camera and the cost is RM1k+. I could not believe my luck and I have to thank my son for it and of course he is asking for something in return i.e. an older camera from me :) Here is a pix of the camera that I've won........ yeah! So in life you will never know what comes next! I promised to give it to my hubby who is dying to get a Nikon DSR camera but could not afford it right now. So, I have asked him to use this as an entry level before going deeper to using those really bulky DSR camera :) So his first shot has to be my beaded item :)

Earrings........ I love making them Part 2

Here are more pictures of the earrings that I have made :) These are little Angels :) More????

Earrings...... I love making them :)

While creating the 2nd Tree of Life project, I took a break to make earrings. I love making earrings and once I have these ideas in my head I can practically make 8-10 different designs in one night. The first batch of earrings that I made were using round stones/crystals as the main focus. Here are only a few pictures as I have sold most of it to my colleagues. My colleagues gave me a lot of encouragement and this prompt me to make more and more. I am glad that they loves their purchases.
I have the craze to make earrings again and here is the latest creations....... all ready to be sold off and I must tell myself that I cannot take first or else I won't have anything to sell :) Do you find anything that you fancy?

Not another food blogger :p

The title says it all...... I am not another food blogger but I just gotta share some of the "makan" places that I consider as little gems and not known by many and my personal experiences. I loves food and who doesn't? This is such a silly statement :) My Crabby Experience It happened 2 months ago when I suddenly had so much urge to eat crabs (and its not my 1st time) and my dearest hubby (the nicest person in this whole wide world) "tar pau" 2 kilos of sweet and sour crabs from a coffee shop near my place for me and that's the only thing I ate for dinner 2 whole kilos of crabs and of course I drank almost all the gravy. You must be wondering why would someone drink gravy, yes that is my favorite part of the meal, to drink the gravy :) After having 2 kilos of crab and it still doesn't stopped the urge so the following day my hubby "tar pau" another 2 kilos of crabs for me for dinner and this time I requested for salted egg fried crabs. This time I remembered to take a picture of my dinner before diving in....... here you are the pix of my dinner :)
My urge is back....... I need another quick fix of eating crabs and this time it will be Thai Style fried crabs at Nong & Jimmy :) My eating "Rojak" journey :) Ok, here is another "makan" story. I love to eat Indian Rojak aka Pasembur since I was very young say 6 years old. My dad loves to eat Rojak and Mee Rebus. So, we used to frequent this chinese coffee shop located at the corner of a Jalan (I don't know the name of it) opposite Wilayah Complex when I was very young. We will go in to the coffee shop from the back door and there was my dad's favorite Rojak & Mee Rebus stall just outside the shop. We were allowed to order foods from the outside store. My siblings and I will usually ordered chicken or pork chops then my dad will order his mee rebus and rojak to share. Later on, we found another nice rojak & pork chop place right in town in a coffee shop a few lots away from Bangkok Bank. We like the rojak & western food here much better than the one near to my dad's office. We frequent this place so often back then till the shop owner changed hands and eventually the Rojak uncle passed away and the Western food operator stopped selling there. So, it was almost the end of the Rojak story for me coz I have eaten in so many places even the famous one at the Bangsar Mobile station could not replace the same feeling and taste of what I have tasted before. In 2007 when I worked in MAA @ Jalan Dewan Bahasa, my colleague introduced me to this little gem called "Belamy Rojak" and it tasted similar to what I have tasted before and I got hook on it ever since. Here is the pixs of my favorite "Rojak" meal and the "Mee Goreng" tasted quite nice too :P
My hubby & sons' favorite. My boy would eat it with toast like spaghetti on toast :)
Wow, the thick gravy that tasted sweet with a bit of burnt peanuts is so out of this world :) Can I have another plate, please :)

Tree of Life Necklace

I made the necklace using nylon or faux suede cords and that way the wearer can adjust the necklace to their desire length :)
